Description

A Senior Residential Care Worker is required for a residential children’s home for four young people aged 8 to 18 situated close to Lanark in South Lanarkshire

This service is provided in a comfortable home and the ethos behind the provision is one of living in, as near as possible, a family setting. Many of the young people at this service will be experiencing periods of difficulty or crises in their lives and the service are committed to offering them a place of safety, where they can enjoy a time of stability and security.

The aim of this service is to provide high quality care in a non-institutional environment with a continued emphasis on creating and maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere in which all relationships are based on mutual respect, allowing young people the opportunity to come to terms with their past and current problems and to prepare for the future.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you should have an SVQ 3 or above in Children and Young People.

Additionally you must be registered with the SSSC and will be required to have a enhanced disclosure Scotland. Ideally you wil have previously worked with young people in a residential environment .
