Service Chefs are required to assist the preparation, cooking and serving within any production area, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. 

Main Duties 

  • To carry out duties requested by the Sous Chef and Venue Head Chef.
  • To effectively contribute to the kitchen area to ensure all aspects of food production are executed to the highest standards.
  • To assist Kitchen management in the effective control of Match Day and Non Match Day production and stock control.
  • To assist the preparation, cooking and serving within any production area, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • To assist the Kitchen Management in ensuring that all relevant legislation and codes of practice are adhered to.
  • To ensure all legislation and codes of practice in relation to Health and Safety are adhered to, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH 1994.
  • Comply with the companies cleaning schedules.
  • To maintain a high level of personal hygiene and ensure that correct clean uniform and personal protective equipment are worn at all times.


The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
  • A Certified Basic Food Hygiene, and compulsory attendance of the intensive Passport To Work Scheme.
  • 2 years work experience in a similar kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a multi task, highly pressurized environment.
  • A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement in their working environment.
  • Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, self motivation, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure.  They should exhibit pride in performance and possess high standards in the provision of service to Manchester United's customers and internal users.
