Location Assistant

Working with either day breaks or short breaks you will be assisting and running an activity location. This will involve liaising closely with the location coordinator, fellow colleagues, suppliers and ensuring the location is ready before each group arrives.

You will need to be comfortable with taking directions from the location coordinator and executing orders to ensure all staff are in their correct locations and ensure everything is running to a pre determined schedule. You will need to be able think on your feet and make adjustments on the spot to ensure that there are no queues or backlog of guests at a particular location. You will need to communicate with your location coordinator and group guides on a frequent basis and be able to relay instructions in a concise manner. You will need to multitask and be able to problem solve before a problem arises to offer our clients an excellent experience.

From ensuring that the correct lighting is been used to monitoring the visits to Santa and ensuring toilets are clean you will need to be open minded and willing to get stuck in to this past paced but rewarding role. Abitlity to think on your feet and entertain clients to ensure they are neither cold nor bored is crucial; this may include singing, dancing, stories and other fun activities.

At all times you must ensure that the high service standards set by the company and expected by our clients are met.


* Strong team player with good communication skills
* Organised and able to react to arising situations quickly and efficiently
* Have a good understanding of logistics and be able to coordinate a team and suppliers
* Able to resolve any client concerns in an instant and step into a situation and resolve it as and when necessary
* Self-motivated and confident in your abilities to deliver 100% customer satisfaction
* Customer service experience is an advantage
* Strong communication abilities
* Full clean driving licence
* 24/7 Attitude

During the operational period the role will involve long working hours with little breaks or time off. Endurance and the ability to work under pressure while presenting a pleasant demeanour at all times is crucial.

  • Arctic Star hotel is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Swedish Karesuando, and has recently undergone a programme of modernisation. All rooms are simply furnished and all offer en-suite facilities and as a matter of interest, the Dalai Lama once stayed at the Arctic Star Hotel.
  • Milinmaja Restaurant and Cabins is a small, charming cluster of cabins with an excellent location in the heart of Finnish Karesuvanto just 10 minute (approx. 800m) walk from the Davvi Arctic Lodge.
