Description

The Specialist Instructor will have specific skills and qualifications as a Lifeguard (NPLQ or NaRS) continually maintaining safety in and around the pool. They will also be expected to act as an Activity Instructor when not involved in specialist instruction.

 

Reporting directly to Camp Manager, description of responsibilities as follows:

  • Adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time
  • You will be expected to risk asses and manage poolside safety before, after and during all swim sessions
  • Plan and deliver a variety of other activities with structure and enthusiasm; encouraging maximum participation
  • Deliver a structured and enjoyable activity period during drop off and pick up time
  • Additional duties will include registering crews, cleaning and kit maintenance

Pay:

£275 - £335 per week (based on a 5 day week. Part-time contracts also available)

 

Hours:

8am – 5.30pm / 8.30am – 6.00pm (Monday to Friday) with a half hour unpaid lunch break). Flexible hours with hourly pay also structure considered  

Temporary Contract:

School holidays – part seasons considered  

On appointment all staff will be expected to complete a CRB disclosure and supply us with references

Requirements

 

  • Relevant Lifeguard qualification (Lifeguard – NPLQ/NaRS) with experience in specialist area
  • Ideally qualified or studying towards a sports/coaching, creative, teaching/childcare qualification
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills
  • Energetic and outgoing with good use of initiative
  • Flexible, team player willing to take on various tasks as required

If selected, you will be required to complete an online test based on our online training programme. Following this you will be required to attend an unpaid Central Training and Assessment Day b
