Junior Sous Chefs

circa £24,000 per annum (Anticipated earnings £27,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent upon experience)




There are no stars in our kitchens, we celebrate success as a team. We don’t shout, we don’t scream, we don’t intimidate and we don’t humiliate (as we have heard some kitchens can) but we do want our Sous chefs to lead our teams with compassion, honesty, clear direction, encouragement and motivation. 

As a Junior Sous Chef you will be in charge of a section and supervising some of the most talented young  chefs in the country.  You will manage a team that have displayed a real passion for food, great knife skills, a good grounding in classical cooking techniques and an instinct and commitment to delivering the best dish possible for a customer each and every time.
You will be in charge of doing the rotas and ordering for your section. Assisting in the recruitment of your team and checking quality and consistency of your sections food offer in each and every dish produced. You must have an organised mind, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to train and develop those being lead by you.
With most of your mis en place produced by an overnight production team, you will focus your team on doing what they do best – cooking and service. You will have a high quality restaurant or hotel background and previous supervisory experience, ideally within a high volume operation.

  • Similar level experience in a similar restaurant.
  • Some leadership ability and training skills.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Basic food hygiene preferred.
  • A keen interest in food.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
