Description

Spend the winter working in some of the best ski resorts in the world! 

As a Kitchen Porter/Night Porter you will assist the Head Chef with all aspects of operating the hotel kitchen, ensuring that the standards of cleanliness and quality of catering are maintained. In addition, you will be responsible for the running of reception during the night. You will work on a shift rotation with other Kitchen Porters/Night Porters.
 
As a Kitchen Porter, your work will involve cleaning, laundry preparation, stock checking, assisting with hotel administration and assisting with weekly Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Samples and Fire Checks.
 
In your role as a Night Porter, you will be responsible for cleaning and tidying, nightly security, safety and fire checks and you will manage reception throughout the night, deal with any guest problems that may arise and supervise the evacuation of guests in an emergency.
 
As well as the skills related to your role you will also be required to assist with other physical duties such as deliveries, snow clearing, assisting with luggage and lifting. You will be expected throughout the season to fully support the Chalet Hotel and chalet programmes in resort.

Requirements

Required experience:

  • Customer service experience essential
  • Catering/large kitchen experience essential
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • EU passport holders only, with UK residency and permanent UK National Insurance number
