As a member of Jockey Club Catering, part of Compass Group, you will be part of ensuring that all of our 10,000 guests have a day out to remember!
Many of our catering team return every season to work all 17 of our exciting race days. From the prestigious Kingwell Hurdles Day to the incredibly lively Boxing Day race meeting, you're sure guarunteed to feel the atmosphere at Wincanton Racecourse!


You will be working in one of our highly acclaimed restaurant taking orders, serving food and drinks, keeping all tables clear and tidy and ensuring that all of our restaurant guests receive first class service.
There are different styles of service in our restaurants, to include; plated and buffet style.
You may also be asked to help prepare the restaurant for the next day's service.

Requirements


You must be 16 or over to work with us and have a desire to provide excellent customer service with a smile.

Experience is helpful but not essential as we will provide full training prior to the season starting to ensure you have all the skills necassary to meet our high restaurant standards.

Wincanton Racecourse is part of the Jockey Club. It is a National Hunt course with its season running from October to May as well as holding many other conferences & events throughout the year.

How to find us:

By Road
Wincanton Racecourse is situated on the B3081 between Wincanton and Bruton. The B3081 is just off the A303 which is the arterial route between London and the South West. It is 37 miles south of Bristol and 38 miles north of Bournemouth. There is free parking at the racecourse and places allocated for disabled drivers are available in all car parks.

By Rail
The nearest train station is Templecombe, which is on the Waterloo-Exeter line and is 4 miles south of Wincanton. There is a raceday courtesy bus service from Templecombe to the racecourse and it meets the train from Waterloo before racing and returns to the station at the end of the day. Times vary according to the train timetable and race times but can be found on the fixture's page on this web site in the run up to the day.
