The successful candidate will be required to manage hospitality suites or areas on a match day. These areas comprise Sports Bars, Restaurants including Fine Dining, and Executive Boxes. The matchdays that you would be expected to work can take place on Saturdays and Sundays (various start times), as well as Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays (start times from 1.30pm).

Room Managers need to ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently throughout service, while maintaining an appreciation of customer expectations. Managers are responsible for the performance of their restaurant as well as meeting our high standards of food, service and health and safety. Restaurant management combines strategic planning, strong organisational skills and a high level of initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage the food service team within the hospitality areas.
  • Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant ensuring an efficient service of the highest standard.
  • Extremely well groomed and presented at all times.
  • Direct, motivate, encourage and inspire your team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to problem solve.
  • Customer driven with superb attention to detail.
  • Carry out any tasks requested by management.
  • To deliver a precise effective brief to all members of staff within your area.
  • Have a full understanding of the menu to relay to your team.
  • Plan and develop food and beverage services.
  • Look at ways to maximise sales wherever possible and ensure that they are recorded accurately.
  • To install a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Delegate necessary tasks to be completed.
  • Ensure customers are greeted in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Practise good colleague and customer relations.
  • Carry out satisfaction checks with all guests within your area to the highest degree.
  • Ability to respond to customer complaints efficiently and effectively in a sincere manner.
  • Client liaison skills will be supreme as will your tact and diplomacy for dealing with demanding customers.
  • Assist with team training and development for the operation of your restaurant.
  • Coach the team to consistently meet the correct standards.
  • Address all staffing and client issues as required.
  • Encourage your staff to work in harmony with other departments to ensure overall success.
  • To adhere to and help enforce all Health and Safety standards, company rules, regulations and policies at all times.

Requirements

This is a ‘Hands on’ role and you must have the stamina and ability to work under pressure and make decisions. We want someone who fully appreciates what needs to be done where high quality customer standards are concerned.

You must be a committed, natural leader with strong people management skills with the ability to build rapport and set the standards to sustain effort in order to achieve exceptional customer service. You need to be capable of developing a diverse team by leading from the front to act as a role model to the staff by showing commercial awareness with a strong desire to succeed.
