Description
Our Facilities team works hard to ensure that our customer’s time in the centre is safe and comfortable, whilst maintaining outdoor spaces that are challenging and well presented. We facilitate young people from a diverse range of backgrounds to develop their competence and confidence to take on leadership roles, increasing their skills, experiences and the impact they can have on their communities.
The Facilities Assistant will provide logistical and maintenance support for the Facilities Manager. This role will involve supervising volunteer groups. The role will also include general upkeep of the grounds including general horticultural tasks, pruning, lawn care, astroturf maintenance, garden areas, a range of routine maintenance and safety checks of facilities including Legionella temperature audits, alarm tests, changing light bulbs, basic carpentry skills amongst others. In addition to this the Facilities Assistant will be required to work with the Facilities team to ensure the timely completion of tasks in the maintenance logbook. The Facilities Assistant will also provide support in the creation and updating of risk assessments and work procedures relevant to the role.
Hours: 20 hours per week - occasional weekend work may be required.
An enhanced CRB clearance will be required for this position.
