WORKING IN CHINA
In2action have partnered up with the Chinese company, IBest. This partnership has opened a huge opportunity for staff to work with children in China. Chances like this do not come along very often and is something not to be missed. These positions are perfect for those wanting to take a year out from education or the work place.
This is a great way to travel in China and get immersed into a new culture whilst working. There are two different roles on offer currently. Both are for the adventurous traveller who wishes to get to more from a trip than nice pictures but to get to know Chinese people well and change lives.
All training for roles in China will take place in Beijing with the Chinese company IBest that In2ation work with. The training will involve learning the job and how to run classes. Details of how to plan sessions from the IBest curriculum aswell as how to work with Chinese teaching assistants.
Training will set up for the role and questions can be dealt with on a regular basis through the training period.
Once training has been complete details of placements will be revealed. You could be asked to work in different locations in Beijing or relocated to another city completely.
Being capital of the People's Republic of China. Located in northern China. It has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with about 140 million Chinese tourists and 4.4 million international visitors in a year.
As one of the six ancient cities in China, and as a result there is a number of tourist sites to see and do including, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and more recent locations such as the Olympic park. Beijing is also about an hour away from the Great Wall of China.
Its a great place to learn all about a culture that cannot be experienced elsewhere.
WHAT WE OFFEr
Your location will be based on your preferences given at the training course and operational requirements. We cannot guarantee to offer you a role in your first choice of location but will do all we can to do so. You will be placed in a site on successful completion of your training and assessment course.
Length of Contract
Contracts will last a year. These will start at various different times a throughout the year.
When working in China you will be provided with accommodation, usually sharing. This accommodation could be close to your working location. If not you will be close to public transport links which is easy enough to get between places.
Days and hours worked
UK contracts are based on a 5 day, 40 hour working week. However, due to the nature and seasonality of the work, you will be expected to have a flexible approach that allows hours to be averaged over the period of your contract.
An a number of IBest polo shirts for your work. To go with this you will need to purchase black or navy leggings or trousers.
You will need to purchase your own travel insurance. IBest will recommend a company and policy prior to your travel date. The costs of the recommended policy will be refunded by IBest at the end of your placement. If you wish to take out a different policy you can do however any additional costs incurred with this will not be refunded.
Mandarin lesions will be provided for all staff working in China at a local college. This is all part of the package and at no extra costs. It will aid knowledge and understanding of the language.
Staff will be provided with travel cards which will be topped up on a monthly basis to a reasonable amount expected for the travel required for work. Any additional costs incurred will need to be paid for by the staff member.
