Description

We are currently looking for a Demi Chef De Partie to join our Radison Blu Edwardian, Leicester Square team in London.

The Demi Chef De Partie will provide 100% customer satisfaction by preparing quality food products.

  • Assists with all hot and cold food preparation, including banquets when necessary
  • Aids with the preparation of sauces, soups and hot entrees for service and special functions, insuring that all stations are set for forecasted covers
  • Demonstrates basic recipe knowledge for soups, sauces and entrees, making suggestions to improve quality and eliminate waste
  • Helps to assure that all kitchen personnel and servers are aware of specials, plate presentations and prices
  • Helps to organize and maintain work areas, coolers and storage areas
  • Prepares work checklist and organizes work stations for each shift
  • Assists personnel in checking coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products
  • Insures that proper plate presentation and requisitioning procedures are followed

Requirements

The successful candidate:  
  • Has Food & beverage product knowledge, and an understanding of food preparation techniques
  • Has Good command of English language
  • Has Knowledge of Radisson Edwardian systems & procedures
  • Holds a Food and Hygiene certificates
  • Has the ability to Coach i.e.  Develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing effective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning.

  • Takes a supervisory responsibility of a section of the kitchen brigade in the absence of the kitchen team leader
  • Communicates effectively to prevent possible shortages of food to the team leader
