Chalet Host for Chalet Alouette, 8-10 person Chalet with direct access to the piste in Les Gets
We are an independent company with lovely chalets and are highly ranked on Trip Advisor because we always have great staff. So if you are looking for a chalet host position and want to be part of an excellent team this could be for you.

Your key responsibilities include providing an exceptionally high level of service and being a warm and friendly host to your guests.

This role requires you to be an accomplished cook as you will be preparing and serving continental and daily cooked specials for breakfast, afternoon tea, as well as a delicious and well presented 3-course meal for 8-10 guests six days a week. We follow a set menu which has been tried and tested and is proving to be a huge success across all our chalets Although you will be running your own chalet you will be working with another chalet host who runs the chalet next door, meaning you can share some of the cooking for both chalets between you. There is also a driver/ chalet helper who helps in the evenings between the 2 chalets with setting the tables & washing diches etc. In les Gets we actually have 3 chalets very close to each other so you are a team of 4 plus then a wider team of staff based in Morzine.

You will also be responsible for making the beds, cleaning the bathrooms and keeping the communal areas clean and up to the required standard.  You will also be required to do the weekly shop and to keep within budget. On changeover day you will be required to clean the chalet in preparation for the arrival of the new guests.

If you love having friends for dinner, meeting lots of new people from all walks of life, have a "can do" attitude, are not afraid of hard work & want to run one of the best chalets in Les Gets please apply!

You don't need to be a qualified chef although catering experience is essential, as well as a genuine flair for cooking and love of food. Candidates must be over 23 for insurance purposes and hold a current driving licence.

We are looking for someone with a good amount of common sense and a bubbly personality who is hard working and fun. This person will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that they do all they can to help the guests enjoy their holiday.

The role requires someone who gets on well with people, is flexible, well organised and has high standards of cleanliness.

If you apply, please provide your CV, a 6 day menu plan, including a recent photo & a cover note explaining why you would be suited to this job, why you are interested in working in Les Gets and for Reach4thealps.

Reach4theAlps is an independent company, run by husband and wife team Gina and Marcus Ewart with the help of Jane & Kellie in the office and Lee with all chalet maintenance. We specialise in winter skiing and snowboarding holidays and are based in the ski resorts of Morzine, Les Gets and Montriond which form part of the massive Portes Du Soleil ski area.

Due to the time and effort we put in personally and the great staff we employ each season (many coming back to work 2 or 3 seasons) we have a very high client repeat rate with about 60-70% of guests being repeat each year.

Our Chalets
We have a portfolio of 7 catered and 6 self-catered properties between Morzine and Les Gets. Each chalet is run by a Chalet Host (smaller chalets ) or Chalet Couple (for the lager chalets) and then we also employ 4 Driver/Chalet Helpers who will pick up/drop off the guests at Geneva airport, offer an in resort mini-bus service for guests as well as helping out in the chalets. All the chalets are highly rated on Trip Advisor because they are of a high standard but also, more importantly due to the great customer service provided by the Reach4thealps team.

Our Staff
We realise you can have the best chalets in the Alps but without great staff running them it just won't work! We are looking for candidates who want to work for a small independent company where you are part of a very supportive team, where hard work and going the extra mile is really appreciated.

We run a comprehensive pre season training week involving the chalet hosts practising the menus (input encouraged), driving & cleaning training and generally getting to know the resort, the chalets and each other! We are always on hand in resort for support and regularly visit the chalets to visit guests and staff but are happy to leave staff to get on with their job and not interfere in the nitty gritty as long as guests feedback is positive!

Throughout the season we organise team outings, meals out etc as a thank you for your hard work and we offer an end of season bonus for all staff who have done a great job and stayed till the end. Have a look at our Facebook page, to see what sort of things we got up to last season.
