Description

We're looking to employ a passionate, friendly, flexible! hard-working chef to cater for up to 24 people in our 9-bedroomed luxury chalet in Chamonix this winter.

This is a great opportunity to experience a winter season in one of the best resorts in the Alps, working hard but having plenty of fun too, meeting new people and of course, enjoying lots of skiing/snowboarding. 

You will be one of a team of 4 to help run our 9 bedroom chalet in Chamonix this winter (sleeping up to 24 people).   

You will be responsible for preparing 3 course meals 6 days a week & cake & canapés.

This role does not involve breakfast !! THIS IS A SINGLE SHIFT ROLE (approximate working hours from 4PM - 10 PM)  On changeover days you will pitch in with the rest of the team getting the chalet ready.You are responsible for the shopping.

You can apply for this role with or without a Partner (partner role involves cleaning, meet & greet for self-catered chalet & babysitting).

Requirements

  • You will have had significant restaurant standard cooking background and the ability to create and deliver high quality 'fine dining' dishes 
  • Have a valid EU passport or French/EU working visa,
  • Have a full, clean driving license for more than 3 years
  • Fluent in English (French a bonus)
  • Be of a mature disposition, be physically fit with no recent major illnesses
  • Must be a non-smoker 
We are looking for a great flexible team player. You are passionate about cooking and proud of your product.  Good people skills are also essential as you will be required to interact with clients / other staff members on an on-going basis.

You are friendly and relaxed around guests and happy to go the extra mile and pitch in where required.

About Ice & Orange Winter
We came to Chamonix in 2004 and bought beautiful Chalet Tissieres. We have been running it as a catered chalet for the past 9 years and have got stuck in at every level.

Nowadays we focus more on the back office things and are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, reliable people to join our team this winter to be the face of our company to ensure our guests have a wonderful holiday experience.

We are a full service chalet and our main aim is to ensure our clients are having a great time and are well looked after in every aspect of their holiday, from their airport transfers to their ski lessons, ski passes, ski hire, ensuring they are served great food and enjoy excellent hygiene standards throughout the chalet.

Finding the right staff is of course vital to ensure all runs as it should and as such we are looking for vibrant people, who are outgoing, hard working, presentable and approachable. They are good at taking initiative, have an eye for detail and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our clients have a wonderful time.
