The role of Chalet Chef is to provide all of the catering within one of our larger chalets, from 20 to 40 guests. In some cases you will be sole caterer and others within a team.
You will act as the head of a chalet team ensuring that the catering and sometimes housekeeping are of a consistently high standard.
Your duties will include providing breakfast, afternoon tea and a tempting four course evening meal each evening. You will also need to be able to manage your stock and budget efficiently as well as carry out some basic administration.
Our Chalet Chefs are confident, experienced chefs and cooks who have a passion for producing delicious, well presented food and take pride in what they do. If you have experience in outside catering, restaurants or are simply a regular cook who loves nothing more than seeing people enjoy your food, then this could be a good job for you.
The fantastic service provided by our overseas staff is what keeps guests coming back to us, so as well as the skills needed to for your role we also look for friendly, conscientious, welcoming, hardworking who want to share their enjoyment of the mountains with our guests.
You will also be required to assist with other physical duties such as deliveries, snow clearing, assisting with luggage and lifting. You will be expected throughout the season to fully support the chalet and Child Care programmes in your resort.
- Catering experience or catering qualifications
- Hospitality and customer facing experience essential
- Previous management of staff desirable, not essential
