Description
Major holiday resorts and accommodation supplier wishes to develop new travel trade and affiliate partnerships and to increase sales across non-direct customer channels in GB and Ireland source markets.
Business Development:
• To identify & build effective relationships with key players in line with the company
strategy to profitably grow the business in GB & Ireland
• To identify, target and present winning proposals to new potential partners to generate
profitable new revenues.
• To produce commercial proposals and negotiate contract terms with new partners
• To increase sales & turnover in line with agreed annual targets
Sales:
• To monitor and analyse on a regular basis sales figures and to report any
budget /forecast variances
• To implement pro-active measures & initiatives to increase sales and to counter any
negative trends
• Responsible for ensuring that the trade database in the system is correct and regularly
updated.
Marketing & PR
• Responsible for managing trade marketing activity according to agreed budget and
objectives
• Responsible for managing company profile and ensuring regular and positive press in all
trade publications (on & off-line)
• Responsible for managing relationship with trade associations and regulatory
organisations
• Ensure a presence at key trade events & trade training initiatives
Competitor/Market Analysis:
• Responsible for research into market trends and analysis of competitor activities
• Produce periodical (or as requested) reports on the market
Account Management:
• To manage all trade and affiliate accounts to ensure that all day to day administration
issues are handled efficiently
• To ensure that there is regular communication between the company and trade partners
to increase sales and ensure high level of customer service.
• To manage the contract administration ensuring that accurate records are kept
• Train staff (reservation/admin) on key trade partners to ensure that we offer seamless &
high levels of service
Skills Required:
• Knowledgeable about UK travel industry in particular trade sales
• Strategic thinker
• Previous commercial/sales experience at a senior level within the travel industry
• E-commerce & affiliate management experience
• Proven contract negotiation skills
• Knowledge & previous experience of working with online distribution systems
• Attention to detail and good organisation skills
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team or on your own
• Experience of setting & managing a budget
