International Quest operates centres throughout the UK and Ireland and our Activity Leaders are a key part of our success. You will be working as part of the activity team, lead by the activities manager.

Our Activity Leaders work hard, but always find it very rewarding and come back year after year. It gives you the opportunity to further your experience and skills which will no doubt benefit you in your future careers.

You responsibilities will include:
  • Arriving before the first student arrivals to help with the preparation, planning and presentation of the programme
  • Working as part of a team with the Activity Manager and other activity staff to help prepare a wide range of afternoon and evening activities, which may include barbecues, sports, music, drama, quizzes, themed discos, and off-campus visits and excursions
  • Helping  set up, supervising and participating fully in these planned activities
  • Accompanying students on full-day and half-day excursions and acting as a tour guide
  • Helping supervise students during meals, lesson breaks and when in the halls of residence
  • Encouraging students to use English as much as possible
  • Pro-actively encouraging and motivating the students, ensuring everyone is participating and most importantly having fun!

Requirements

  • You must be over 18 years old
  • You must be based in the UK as you will be expected to attend an assessment day or a face-to-face interview
  • Enthusiasm and a positive approach at all times
  • Approachable and friendly
  • Confident, lively and outgoing
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Professional and responsible
Desirable:
  • First aid qualification
  • Lifeguard and or / other coaching qualifications
  • Experience in leading/training a sports, leisure or similar team
  • Previous experience as an Activity Leader in a residential role
