In the role of Activity Instructor you will be assigned to lead a variety of different activities as well as team challenges across a wide age range.
Reporting directly to the Camp Manager, description of responsibilities as follows:
-Adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time
-Plan and deliver a variety of timetabled activities with structure and enthusiasm and encourage maximum participation
-Deliver a structured and enjoyable activity period during drop off and pick up time
-Additional duties will include registering crews, cleaning and kit maintenance etc.
Pay: £237.15 per week for 18 to 20 year olds rising to £294.53 per week for 21 year olds and over (based on a 5 day week. Part-time contracts also available)
Hours: 8am – 5pm / 9am – 6pm (Monday to Friday) with a half hour unpaid lunch break
Temporary Contract: School holidays. Part seasons considered
On appointment all staff will be expected to complete a CRB disclosure and supply us with references
-Previous experience working with children
-Ideally qualified or studying towards a sports/coaching, creative and/or teaching/childcare qualification
-Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and initiative
-Flexible team player willing to take on various tasks as required
Selection and Appointment Process:
If your online application form is short listed you will be contacted by the Base Camps team who will speak to you further about your experiences. If selected, you will be required to complete an online test based on our online training programme. Following this you will be required to attend an unpaid Central Training and Assessment Day based at various locations.
Finally before you start work you will need to attend a Venue Set-up and Training Day located at school at which you will be working. Staff attending a Camp Specific Training Day will receive a bonus to be paid
