As a Centre Manager you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running
of a leisure centre and all its facilities (which may include everything from swimming
pools through dry ski-runs and arts facilities). You'll control budgets, recruit
and manage staff, arrange activity timetables and special events and take responsibility
for health and safety.
To become a Centre Manager, you'll need either qualifications or previous experience
of work in an assistant manager or management trainee role. Foundation degrees,
BTEC HNDs or university degrees in relevant subjects will stand you in good stead.
