Centre Manager

As a Centre Manager you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of a leisure centre and all its facilities (which may include everything from swimming pools through dry ski-runs and arts facilities). You'll control budgets, recruit and manage staff, arrange activity timetables and special events and take responsibility for health and safety.

To become a Centre Manager, you'll need either qualifications or previous experience of work in an assistant manager or management trainee role. Foundation degrees, BTEC HNDs or university degrees in relevant subjects will stand you in good stead. Experience is invaluable, as are diligence, dedication, a calm attitude and excellent communication skills.
